Prof. Katarzyna Antosz is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics at Rzeszów University of Technology. Her research focuses on production improvement, maintenance management, Industry 4.0, and the application of AI in manufacturing processes. She is an author over 120 publications and led and participated in numerous international research projects. Prof. Antosz is an active member of several scientific societies, including the Polish Society of Production Management, and is a member of the Production Engineering Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She is also a guest editor for international journals and contributes to the scientific committees of numerous international conferences.
Professor Brown teaches grad courses on axiomatic design and on surface metrology, and undergraduate courses on manufacturing and on the technology of alpine skiing. He also consults and teaches courses for industry on axiomatic design and on surface metrology. A WPI faculty member since 1989, Brown has published more than 100 articles on machining, axiomatic design, sports engineering, and surface metrology applied to engineering, archeology and physical anthropology. He has patents on a fractal method for characterizing surface roughness, an apparatus for friction testing, and on sports equipment. He also developed software for surface texture analysis.
Prof. Anna Burduk is Head of the Department of Production Engineering and Management at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on modelling and planning manufacturing processes in discrete production systems, with particular emphasis on efficiency improvement, work organization, and production risk management. She has authored over 200 scientific publications, supervised six PhD theses, and led 16 R&D projects and 8 industrial implementations. She chairs the international ISPEM conference and serves as a member of the Committee of Production Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Vice President of the Polish Society for Production Management.
With 35 years of academic and industrial experience, he specializes in production and robotic engineering, including AI-based expert systems. He has held senior university leadership roles, founded the IMS Center supporting 500+ SMEs, led national programs on manufacturing competitiveness, and published 65+ Scopus-indexed papers. Active internationally as editor, keynote speaker, and research collaborator.
Marcin Butlewski is a as Dean of Faculty of Engineering Management. Marcin Butlewski specializes in industrial ergonomics, ergonomic and inclusive design, and gerontechnology. His research addresses the humanization of work and the allocation of responsibility in human-machine systems across various levels of automation. His work enhances human capacity in perception, decision-making, and task execution.Beyond his academic and professional work, he is committed to advancing inclusive and universal design practices, especially for people with disabilities and aging populations.
He works as a University Professor at the Poznan University of Technology at the Institute of Mechanical Technology – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. His research interests cover the area of machinery construction and operation, and in particular, they concern robotisation of technological processes, assembly technology and industry 4.0/5.0. He is the author and co-author of many publications, monographs, academic scripts and patent applications. Supervisor of doctoral theses and reviewer of the habilitation proceedings.and scientific monographs. Currently is a member of the University Council of the PUT, the Committee of ME of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Advisory Board of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
Reggie Davidrajuh holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering, a DSc (habilitation) in Information Sciences, and a second PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Currently, he is a Full Professor of Informatics at the University of Stavanger, Norway, and a Visiting Professor at the Silesian University of Technology, Poland and at the Chongqing Three Gorges University, China. He has published four books on Petri nets and discrete-event systems modeling, all published by Springer. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and an elected member of the Norwegian Academy of Technical Sciences (NTVA).
Ewa Dostatni received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering and operation from PUT, in 2004, and the D.Sc. Habilitation degree in mechanical engineering, in 2019. She is the coauthor of more than 70 articles. She has participated in 33 research projects. Her main research interests include knowledge management in the design process, application of inventive methods in ecodesign, applications of artificial intelligence in enterprise, and recycling-oriented ecodesign. She is a member of the the Polish Academy of Sciences Production Engineering Committee and she ist She is vice editor of the journal Management and Production Engineering Review.
Scientist and professor at the Cracow University of Technology, associated with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. He specializes in the discipline of mechanical engineering, and his research work focuses on production engineering, automation of technological processes and CAx systems (CAD/CAM/CAP). He is the author of numerous publications, m.in in the field of integrated design of manufacturing systems. He has participated in at least a dozen research and implementation projects. Its activity includes both KBN/NCN grants and research work carried out directly for industry (e.g. in the automotive sector).
Mosè Gallo serves as Associate Professor of Mechanical Industrial Systems Engineering at Department of Chemical, Materials and Production Engineering of the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). He is a mechanical engineer and received a Ph.D. degree in ‘Production Technologies and Systems’ from University of Naples Federico II in 2008. His research interests are related to design and management problems of production systems. Specifically, he has tackled issues concerning lean systems, production quality, maintenance and production planning, environmental sustainability and soft computing techniques applied to industrial fields. He has authored several research papers and book chapters. He is a member of editorial boards for several international scientific journals.
Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. A metrologist specializing in geometric measurements across macro-, meso-, micro-, and nano-scales, including contact and optical coordinate measurements and computed tomography. Author or co-author of 150+ scientific publications and editor of three Springer books. Leads and participates in nationally and EU-funded research projects. Collaborates internationally with technical universities in Ostrava, Lyon, and Vigo. Provides industrial research, training, and expertise in coordinate metrology and CT. Member of ISO TC 213 WG 10.
Prof. Józef Gawlik, Ph.D., D.Sc. Eng., Rector of the Cracow University of Technology from 2005 to 2008, is a valued expert and specialist in the field of machine construction and operation, as well as production engineering. He has received honorary doctorates from the Lublin University of Technology, the Koszalin University of Technology, and the Khmelnytskyi National University in Ukraine, and has been appointed Honorary Professor of the University of Miskolc in Hungary. From 1999 to 2005, he served as Vice-Rector of the University and from 2005 to 2008 as Rector of the Cracow University of Technology. He has authored 11 scientific monographs (some published in Germany) and over 250 publications (including those published in international journals). He is the author or co-author of 13 patents, the director of 14 implementation projects, and 5 targeted projects. He has supervised 12 doctoral dissertations.
He works as a researcher and a teacher at Cracow University of Technology since 2010, now as an associate professor. His scientific interests include coordinate metrology, portable coordinate systems, optical sensors, topics related to measurements and systems accuracy assessment, calibration of measuring systems and material standards, numerical methods in metrology (especially Monte Carlo method), methods for identification and correction of geometrical errors. He is an author/co-author of more than 80 research papers, from which above 20 were published in JCR indexed international journals, and 3 patents for material standards used for determination of probing systems errors. He is also a reviewer in many internationally recognized scientific journals for which he performed about 200 reviews and achieved a status of “Outstanding Reviewer”.
Professor at the Department of Production and Computerization, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Lublin University of Technology. His research covers production system design, AI applications, operations management, and intralogistics. Author or co-author of 9 monographs, 110 articles, and 117 book chapters. Editor-in-Chief of Applied Computer Science. President of the Polish Association for the Promotion of Knowledge and expert for the National Centre for Research and Development since 2014.
Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Poznań University of Technology; Vice-Dean for Science and Head of the Department of Additive Manufacturing and Virtual Reality. Leads research in VR, CAD, and 3D printing, particularly for medical and biomedical applications. Author of 140+ publications, four books, and several patents. A graduate of the Poznań University of Technology and Adam Mickiewicz University, she has been employed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Management of the Poznań University of Technology since 2004. She is the author of several publications on innovation and management, including quality management and quality costs. She has also conducted research projects on supporting management processes in enterprises. She has consulting experience in the implementation of environmental and quality management systems, including in SMEs. She is also a Representative of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001) in service and manufacturing companies. She holds the following certificates: Lead Auditor of Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems (BVQI). She is a member of the Polish Society for Production Management.

Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Management in 1999-2005 and Rector of the Poznan University of Technology in 2005-2012. Main research area: production engineering and quality management. Author of 8 books and about 250 scientific papers. Editor-in-chief of Management and Production Engineering Review (MPER). Cooperation with many companies as a researcher or adviser. Winner of the XII ed. (2009) of the Polish Quality Award in the scientific category. Member of the Committee on Machine Building and the Committee on Production Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Doctor Honoris Causa of the Cracow University of Technology.
Her main research interests are quality and production engineering, measurement system analysis. She is an expert for the European Commission and a reviewer in several journals in the field of mechanical engineering. She has extensive experience in organizational, scientific and structural project management.
Dr. Jozef Husár is a researcher and university lecturer at the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies, TUKE. His work focuses on smart manufacturing, digital twins, extended reality (XR), and the integration of IIoT technologies into industrial systems. He actively participates in national and international research projects aimed at digital transformation in industry and education. As part of SmartTechLab, he leads the development of innovative training environments for Industry 4.0 and 5.0. He is also involved in supervising theses and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Prof. Islam is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he also leads the BSc in Mechanical Engineering program. With over 25 years of experience in industry and academia, he is a specialist in multi-material micro-manufacturing, volumetric additive manufacturing, and hearing aid technology. He is a founding member of CAMM, a DTU research center advancing science in small audio devices. Prof. Islam has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and is actively involved in CIRP, PPS, and EUSPEN, reflecting his leadership in precision engineering, polymer processing, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
He holds a position of the Head of the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines and Tools at Sumy State University (Ukraine). Prof. Ivanov coordinated and took part in research projects funded by the national (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, State Fund for Fundamental Research) and international (EU grant program TEMPUS, Erasmus+, ITMS, SAIA, JICA, Czech Development Agency, Gene Haas Foundation, DAAD, NAWA, KEGA, VEGA, APVV) organizations, and Ukrainian and German industrial companies. He was also responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and courses, including virtual ones. Prof. Ivanov’s contribution to science and education was recognized by national and international awards and diplomas.
I conduct research on measuring transducers, dynamic metrology, and measurement systems in mechanical engineering. I have co-authored numerous scientific publications, including those in JCR-listed journals, and hold patents for innovative measurement solutions. My work bridges theory and practical application, supporting advancements in measurement technologies. In recent years, I’ve contributed to various scientific and editorial projects as both author and reviewer, gaining valuable insights into publication processes and strengthening my skills in evaluating research quality, methodology, and originality.
Prof. ZUT, is a professor at the Department of Manufacturing Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin. His scientific work focuses on the application of artificial intelligence methods in the planning, manufacturing, and control of production processes. He has conducted research within the European Framework Programme aimed at developing energy-efficient, intelligent transportation systems. He has participated in and led numerous international and national research projects. He is a member of the Scientific Committee for Production Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), editor of the scientific journal Enterprise Management, and an expert at the National Centre for Research and Development.
Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zenica. His research focuses on quality management, industrial engineering, and production process optimization. He has led studies on quality management systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina and participated in the TEMPUS program supporting higher education modernization. Co-author of research on PMO implementation and developer of project risk management guidelines aligned with international standards. Chairman of the “QUALITY” Conference.
Doctor of Technical Sciences in Mechanical Engineering, professor at Poznań University of Technology. He conducts research and projects in the areas of integrated technical infrastructure management systems, maintenance management in the context of sustainable development, technological innovations in maintenance facilities that support quality and sustainability, environmental and social aspects of maintenance, and assessment of maintenance system maturity. He is a member of the Production Engineering Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Vice-Chair of the Ergonomics Committee for Poznań. He is listed among the world’s leading researchers in a ranking prepared by Stanford University in cooperation with Elsevier (TOP 2%) for 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Anna Karwasz received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Operation from the Poznan University of Technology. From 2011 to now , she works as an assistant professor. She is a member of the Polish Society of Production Management. She is the co-author of one book and more than 70 articles. She is the author of few utility models. She has participated in few research projects. Her main research interests are recycling-oriented eco-design, application of inventive methods in eco-design, computer aided design, assessment of pollution from 3D printing.
Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Zielona Góra. His research focuses on applying information technologies in production engineering, including ERP implementation, process efficiency analysis, resource management algorithms, modeling and simulation, and predictive maintenance. Author or co-author of over 200 scientific publications, he also serves as a consultant and project manager in ERP implementation projects.
Vice-Dean for International Relations and Mobility at the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies, Technical University of Košice. Author of 250+ scientific publications and holder of six utility models. Active in international projects including H2020 and EUROSTARS, serving as faculty project coordinator. Her research focuses on SMART technologies and materials for industrial applications. Recipient of the 2018 Slovak Science and Technology Award. Professor Agnieszka Kujawińska has been an academic researcher at the Poznan University of Technology since 1995. She holds a degree in mathematics with a specialization in statistics. Since 2006, she has served as a lecturer in the Department of Production Management and Engineering. In 2007, she completed her Ph.D. in the area of pattern recognition methods in statistical process control. She is the author and co-author of over 120 publications and 4 books. Since 2007, she has been involved in 16 research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the National Centre for Research and Development (e.g., Biostrateg, WoodInn), and the European Union (e.g., EraNet). She has served as project leader on two of these projects.
Associate Professor in Operations and Supply Chain at IIM Mumbai, with a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. His research focuses on manufacturing systems, supply chain engineering, and resilience, with publications in leading journals. He provides industrial consulting and executive training for major companies and government initiatives. Active as an editorial board member, reviewer, and book editor.
Prof. Stanisław Legutko works at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Poznan University of Technology. His main research interests include cutting tool technology and operation, gear technology, machine maintenance and industrial logistics. His most important research concerns adhesive wear of cutting tools. Recently, his research interests have focused on the operation and technology of cutting tools for High Speed Cutting (HSC), environmentally friendly machining, precision machining, additive manufacturing and Industry 4.0 and 5.0. He is the author or coauthor of over 600 published scientific papers. His H-index is 34 according to WOS, and he has over 3,300 citations. He maintains close scientific collaborations with numerous European universities under the CEEPUS and ERASMUS+ programs. He is a member of the Committee on Mechanical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Assistant Professor at the Department of Production Engineering, Kielce University of Technology, and Head of the Smart Production Systems Modelling Laboratory (CENWIS). Author of 59 peer-reviewed publications. Co-supervisor of three PhD dissertations and supervisor of numerous master’s and diploma theses in Production Engineering and Logistics. Actively involved in professional associations, serving in leadership roles within Polish scientific and innovation organizations.
José Machado is Associate Professor w/ Habilitation at Mechanical Engineering Department of University of Minho, Portugal. He has co-authored, more than 300 refereed journal and conference proceedings papers. He coordinates and has coordinated several Research and Technology Transfer Projects on Mechatronics and Automation domains. His main interests are related with Industry 4.0, more specifically, on designing and development of Cyber-Physical Systems; design and analysis of dependable controllers for obtaining dependable mechatronic systems; and mechatronic systems design with special focus on manufacturing industry and medical or biomedical applications, wellbeing and/or rehabilitation. He is member of Scientific Communities IEEE, IFAC and IFToMM.
Damjan Maletič is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor. He is also a member of European Asset Management Committee (EAMC) at the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies (EFNMS) and a member of International Society of Engineering Asset Management (ISEAM). His areas of interest are: asset management and maintenance management. He obtained his PhD degree in Quality Management from the University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences.
Is currently working as an associate professor, Head of Department (Faculty of Computer Science) at the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Poland. He received his doctoral degrees technical sciences and medical sciences from the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering in Warsaw in 2015 and from the Medical University in Lublin in 2023. His research interests include artificial intelligence; artificial neural networks; AI/ML applications in Industry 4.0/5.0; cybersecurity; and the AI-based analysis of biomedical signals.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, where for 30 years he has been teaching post-license level engineering classes. In the years 1980-2022 he was an employee of the world’s leading engineering and scientific consulting firm, Exponent Failure Analysis Associates, from which he retired with the highest professional title of Senior Fellow. In 2017 he was admitted to the National Academy of Engineering of the United States. He specializes in investigation and prevention of engineering and scientific disasters. Renewable energy, especially geothermic energy, have been the focus of his many years of work. He is the Co-founder and Chairman of the US-Polish Trade Council, an organization of professionals working on knowledge transfer and innovative science, technology, and engineering towards strengthening cooperation between Poland and the United States. He is vice-president of the Council of Polish Engineers of North America; Member of the 1st Council of the National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) of Poland. He was a co-organizer and academic director at Stanford University of the Top 500 Innovators program sponsored through the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Răzvan Păcurar is activating in the Manufacturing Engineering Department since 2002 at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. His areas of expertise are Additive Manufacturing, Rapid Tooling, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Aided Design. Is author of 110 scientific papers, 25 books published. Was involved in 25 projects. Director of a research contract with BIZZCOM company in 2023 and 2024, Member in 9 projects gained by national competition (POSDRU, CNCSIS – A-type, CEEX, etc.) and 5 projects gained by international competition (FP 6, FP 7, HORIZON 2020.

Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska is a professor at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zielona Góra. In her scientific work, she focusses her research on Computational Intelligence in Production, modelling and designing methods and also on the tools and solutions in support of the manufacturing companies. She is the author of over 250 scientific publications, including books and articles in in influential and impactful journals. She has awarded many international scholarships and has carried out various international research projects.
Prof. Dr. Ivan Pavlenko, Ing.Paed.IGIP., Professor at the Department of Computational Mechanics named after Volodymyr Martsynkovskyy of Sumy State University, Vice Dean for Scientific Work at the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy-Efficient Technologies. His scientific interests concern the development of hybrid methods for parametric identification of mechanical and manufacturing systems using artificial intelligence systems. He has (co)authored over 450 scientific and methodological works, including over 150 publications in Scopus (Hirsch index of 29), 4 monographs, 35 patents and certificates of authorship, and 6 textbooks. He is a Laureate of the Prize of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for his scientific work “A new paradigm for the development of intelligent systems for parametric identification of technological processes”.
Prof. Erwin Rauch is a Professor for Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing and Head of the Smart Mini Factory Lab for Industry 4.0 as well as of the Sustainable Manufacturing Lab. He is further Editor in Chief of Production & Manufacturing Research (Taylor & Francis) and member of various peer-reviewed journals in the field of industrial production. Further he is author of more than 250 scientific contributions and active member of many scientific and non-scientific boards and associations.
Dr. Paulina Rewers is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Poznan University of Technology. She earned her doctorate in 2023. Her dissertation focused on production leveling methodology in the context of inventory turnover and customer order fulfillment. She has published dozens of scientific articles in the fields of production management, production process improvement, and production planning. She is an expert in methods and tools for production process planning and control. She is a reviewer for several international journals in the field of production engineering. Member of the Polish Society for Production Management. She organizes special sessions at international conferences and serves on the organizing committees of numerous scientific conferences. Since July, she has served as Vice-President of the Foundation for the Development of the Poznan University of Technology.
Izabela Rojek received M.Sc. degree in computer science and Ph.D. and the D.Sc. Habilitation degree in mechanical engineering and operation from Poznan University of Technology in Poland. She works as an associate professor. She is Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz. She is the author and co-author of six books and more than 230 articles. Her main research interest is in intelligent support systems, applications of artificial intelligence in machining and additive machining, and exoskeleton creating. She is member of the Production Engineering Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and an expert of the Polish Accreditation Committee.
Prof. Michał Rychlik holds a habilitation degree in Biomedical Engineering, is the Director of the Institute of Applied Mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering PUT. In addition, he is the leader of the Biomedical Engineering Excellence Cluster with two years of work experience at the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in Dresden. His research focusing on topics related to biomedical engineering and virtual technologies. He is the author of over 120 scientific publications and projects, oriented on the design and manufacture of medical implants, biomechanical simulations of implant structures, and the development of new methods of medical diagnostics.
An outstanding scientist associated with the Warsaw University of Technology, specializing in mechanical engineering and production management. His achievements include over 140 scientific papers and 14 books. He has participated in numerous international projects.
Prof. Sebastian Skoczypiec, PhD, DSc, Eng., is the Head of the Department of Production Engineering and Automation at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Cracow University of Technology. His research and publishing activities focus on unconventional methods for manufacturing machine parts and tools, including electrochemical, electrical discharge, and laser machining. He is the author of over 130 scientific publications. He is a member of the Academy of Engineering in Poland and the European Scientific Association for Material Forming (ESAFORM), among others. He is the Chairman of the Committee on Production Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the 2024-2027 term.
She is a specialist in production engineering, organization, and management of production systems. Her research includes production optimization, production scheduling, planning of multi-assortment rhythmic production, production planning for non-heterogeneous products, modeling of discrete systems, and balancing of assembly lines. She was the supervisor of 6 completed doctoral theses. She is the author of 260 publications. She carried out numerous scientific and research works commissioned by the industry, managed scientific projects, as well as the didactic project Interactive Engineering Education – INTEREDU. She participated in two research internships at the Univ. of Bologna. She has been Director of the Master’s in Quality Engineering and Management at UMinho since 2021. She has published around 300 publications in international journals, conferences proceedings, and books. She has participated in over 120 international scientific events. She has participated as a coordinator or researcher in about 15 projects. She works in the areas of Engineering Sciences and Technologies, with an emphasis on Industrial Engineering and Management. In her professional activities, she interacted with more than 250 collaborators internationally.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Vitković is an Associate Professor and Head of Information Systems at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Nis, Serbia. His research includes Biomedical Engineering, e-Learning, Programming, Information Systems and Technologies, CAD/CAM systems, Reverse Engineering, and Computer Graphics. He has also participated in scientific and professional team projects supported by the Serbian government and industry. He is the author of over 100 scientific and technical papers. Prof. Woll is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Senior Project Manager (IAPM). He heads the chair of Quality Management at the BTU C-S and is vice dean of the faculty for Mechanical, Electrical und Industrial Engineering. Prof. Woll is program director for the study programme Industrial Engineering. His research is focussing on perceived quality within process optimization. He is running several projects in cooperation with the German automotive industry in the fields of risk management, product audits, customer requirements and reliability engineering. He is chairman of the German Society for Quality Science (Gesellschaft für Qualitätswissenschaften), member of the DGQ e.V. (German Society for Quality), where he concentrates on the harmonization of the teaching in Quality at German universities, member of the German society of engineers (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure).
